If one must compare, her voice has the smooth, easy listening stylings reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Sheryl Crow with slight Alanis hints. With summery sounds and great rhythms, Sonya sights a wide range of influences. Her organic talent has been nurtured from a young age. Accompanied by her incredibly experienced and talented keyboardist, Paul Bullen, Sonya is perfecting her ‘feel-good’ set which includes over half a dozen originals as well as a few well selected soul classics that reveal the sultry, tender quality, intrinsic in her voice and which resonate with Sonya’s sense of lyric persuasion.
